Another sad mistake made by an autograph auction house who relies on the "opiniion" of a high profile company who claims to authenticate autographs. In the current auction of RR Autographs, Lot # 353 the item is described as Lord Byron Signed Free Frank,
The franked envelope has a postmark of 1826. In addition from the same era, a collector has written in the date "1826." Let it be known that Lord Byron died on April 19, 1824.
The signature of Byron was pre-certified by the "experts" at PSA/DNA. This also skipped the attention of those working at RR Auction.
